Thinking with Lauren Berlant” International Workshop

May 19-20, 2023, Banff

The international workshop “Thinking with Lauren Berlant” brings together international, emerging, and established scholars engaging with Berlantian thought from a queer-feminist perspective to discuss the legacy of Berlant’s scholarship. The workshop and the keynotes are made possible with funding from the University of Alberta, the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, the University of Maryland College Park, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the Kule Institute for Advanced Study. Organized by Dr. Simone Pfleger (University of Alberta), Dr. Hester Baer (University of Maryland), Dr. Ervin Malakaj (UBC), and Dr. Carrie Smith (University of Alberta). The event is co-sponsored by the Centre for European Studies at UBC.
