Governance

The CES governance structure is comprised of two bodies: the Steering Committee and the Executive Council.

The Steering Committee advises the Director and Executive Council on programming, brings forward new ideas for consideration, represents stakeholders, and provides a secondary communication mechanism between the supporting units and the Centre. The membership includes a representative from each unit that has pledged an annual financial contribution to the Centre’s programming funds.

The Executive Council consists of six active CES affiliate faculty, three from the humanities and three from social sciences. The Council, which plays an active role in deciding on annual programming, invited speakers, and other initiatives, will work closely with the Director in an advisory and supporting capacity.
