A message from CES’s New Director, Ervin Malakaj:
It is my distinct honour to take on the role of Director of the Centre for European Studies. The centre has been an intellectual home for me outside of my home department since I started at UBC in 2018. The colloquia, collaborations, and ongoing programming around vital topics related to European studies make the centre a vibrant intellectual site on campus. Over the coming months I look forward to overseeing the centre’s intellectual programing. One of my main points of interest will be to facilitate gatherings in which scholars from across campus and across disciplines can come together for intellectual exchange.
